Not much of a baseball game tonight in the World Series, unless your a Phillies fan. I'm not, but I'm a baseball fan and good for the Phillies. Philly is rolling and the playoffs have been fun to watch this season. I just want to see a good series. However, this is a Blazers Blog and the season is now just around the corner.

The Blazers open with the Lakers Tuesday in L.A. and it's one of three games on opening night of the NBA season. Adam Bjaranson will have live reports starting at 5pm from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. I've been to L.A. to cover the blazers a few times including the Staples Center and the Forum.

I remember one time I lost my voice during a trip to Los Angeles in the early 90's. Blazers Guard Terry Porter was nice enough to do the interviews for me. When I asked him at the hotel if he could help me out the next day...he said he would like to if Head Coach Rick Adelman was ok with it. Rick, like Porter, is one of the great guys in the NBA and he said no problem. Terry did a great job and was a hit on the news.

By the way, most experts are picking the Blazers to make the Playoffs this season and finish second to Utah in the Northwest Division. I too am picking them to make the playoffs...however, I think they are going to beat out Utah and win the Division.

It should be fun. Just two more days and counting!
