Blazers center Greg Oden was hurt in the Blazers season opener in Los Angeles tonight. The Blazers say it is a mid-foot sprain. X-rays were inconclusive and an MRI will be done tomorrow.
Oden appeared to hurt himself battling on the boards with the Lakers Andrew Bynum. Oden grabbed a rebound was trying to score...grabbed another rebound and was fouled by Bynum. Oden went to the ground hard...and when he got up he was wincing.
Moments later Greg missed a shot and was limping down the court. He stayed in the game and played 11 minutes. He didn't score and had 5 rebounds and two fouls.
The Lakers won the game 96-76.
