The Blazers hit the road this week and it will definately be a good test for this young Blazers team. They have Orlando, Miami, New Orleans and Minnesota in just six days. If they can go 500 it would be a great trip.
It certainly has been an entertaining week with the Blazers keeping their home record perfect.
I dont know if you saw it or not...but we had Former Blazers Coach Rick Adelman on Sports Sunday. I did the interview before the Blazers game with Houston. This is Rick's second season as Rockets Coach. Now that they have added Ron Artest the Rockets look like they will have a terrific season.
Adelman likes this year's Blazers team and says people can identify with the players similiar to the Blazer teams of the early 90's. "I think that's what you see right now," said Adelman. "They're young and they've got Roy and Aldridge, who are very very good and the whole key for them is that their guys keep getting better and they add a veteran or two that they can explode on the scene and I think they're going to do that."
Adelman added that fans need to cut Center Greg Oden some slack because he hasn't played much and that people need to give him some time. However, he says the Blazers are still good right now.
Rick is one of the class guys in the NBA and it was good seeing him this week.
It will be interesting to see how well the Blazers do in the next six days. I'm off tomorrow and Tuesday, but I'll be back Wednesday. Enjoy your day!
