Blazers Center Greg Oden is ready for another big step. Tonight against Chicago is his first NBA regular season game at the Rose Garden. It should be another exciting night.

A tough loss for the Blazers at Golden St...but how about Oden?

The big fella keeps getting better and better with each game. Against the Warriors he was up to 30 minutes of playing time and had 22 pts and 10 rebs. His numbers keep improving. In Oden's last three games he is averaging 15 pts and 10 rebs in 25 minutes a game.

A wacky finish at Golden State. The Blazers were down five with 13 seconds left and the Warriors had the ball. Brandon Roy and company almost pulled it off again. Roy with the steal and bucket and its a three pt game. Warrriors turn it over again. Travis Outlaw two free throws....but he stepped over the line on the second...two pt game.

Then it appears that Rudy Fernandez is fouled going for the steal against Anthony Morrow with 5.6 seconds to go. The referee called foul on Rudy, he gets a technical for arguing. Morrow gets three free throws and that's the game. Warriors win 111-106.

I thought Fernandez was fouled...however, the Blazers fed another shot down the line after the game was over. It does look like Rudy may have grabbed Morrow's arm to get an edge before they chased after the ball. Maybe it should have been a non call.

At any rate, the Blazers went 3-2 on the five straight road games and 6-5 overall. That's pretty good considering the Blazers have played more road games than any team in the NBA with 8. They are just one game behind Utah and Denver in the Division.

Like Oden said after practice Monday...the games keep coming in the NBA. The game against the Bulls tonight marks the first meeting between the top two draft picks over the past two seasons....Oden in 2007 and Derrick Rose in 2008.

Chicago is 5-6, but Rose is averaging 19 pts and 5.6 assists this season. Over his last 5 games he is averaging 21 pts, 6 rebs and 7. 6 assists and he is playing more than 38 minutes a game.

It should be an exciting night.
