Alright, I gotta ask... who's shocked by the Blazers start to this season? It had better be 100% of you. Honestly, there was no way to forecast this much success this early on. As most of you know, they were dealt the toughest schedule in the NBA to start the year. And did you know this? When the calendar turns to December 11th, the Blazers will have already played 40% of their road games for the season. As we stand right now... the Blazers have the 2nd best record in the Western Conference-- only the Lakers have a better record.
The Blazers rallied to beat Washington tonight, 98-92 was the final. That's their 6th straight win... and makes them a perfect 7 and 0 against the Eastern Conference this season. And they are getting contributions from somebody new ever single night. There are just so many options Nate has at his disposal... and they are all paying off. Not bad for the NBA's version of the "Diaper Dandies".
Next up, a very tall task! They meet the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics on Friday night. And, for the 2nd straight year, they are off to an 18 and 2 start. But right now...I'm not betting against the Blazers. Really, how can you!
That game Friday can be seen on KGW starting at 5 p.m.
