So the Blazers lost a game at home! It's no big deal, really. In fact, I think it's a good thing. It's not like they lost to that team from Oklahoma City or Memphis. It was the Orlando Magic--they of the 17 wins and 5 losses variety. So, where does that put Portland now? A 15 and 8 record is the third best in the Western Conference. Now, 7 of their next 9 at the Rose Garden to close out 2008. And, I'll go on record to say they'll win 7 of their next 9. That will make the Blazers a sparkling 22 and 10 to open up 2009.
At practice on Wednesday, the guys didn't have a "woe is me" attitude. They took one on the chin and say they've learned from it already. Time to pick up the pieces and move forward. It's so different from even a year ago where the guys were treading around .500 for the better part of the season. Sure, anything can happen between now and 2009.....but you can't say you DON'T like their chances, right? It's great to be following a team that truely matters once again.
