If it wasn't for those "intimidators" from Boston on December 5th... then Hedo Turkoglu's "miracle" 4 days later... the Blazers would be a perfect 14 and 0 against the Eastern Conference. Still, following Monday's 109-95 win in Chicago, the Blazers are a very impressive 12 and 2 versus the East. That, my friends, is the best record in the league. Try this for size... Sacramento who has a 9-29 record, is a woeful 0-13 against the East.
Nonetheless, Portland is finding success against those teams... and others. Against the Bulls Monday, Travis Outlaw was on his "A-game".... finished with 33 big points-- just 3 shy of his career-high. And Greg Oden, while getting doubled for most of the night, had one of his best games ever too. GO finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Of that stat line... all but 2 points came through 3 quarters. Oden has been getting better. Can we agree on that? The area that I'm still worried about is his tendancy to foul--- and foul often.
Portland's 4-game road swing takes 'em to Philly on Wednesday. No way they lose that game!
