Blazers guard Steve Blake will be out much longer than expected with a right shoulder injury. Blake separated his shoulder in Wednesday's loss at Philadelphia.
The team originally said he would be out a week to ten days, but Blake was examined here in Portland yesterday and his prognosis changed. Now, he the team says he will be out two to four weeks.
"With a sprained shoulder like that, four weeks is probably the norm," said Blazers coach Nate McMillan before the game with Charlotte. McMillan said you would be lucky to have a player out for just two weeks with that type of injury.
Blake is averaging 11.6 points per game and 4.7 assists.
