The Blazers found the going tough in Houston tonight... losing 98 to 94. They did make a spirited run late, but it was the early hole they dug, that they weren't able to pull themselves out of. In the process, Portland and the Rockets swap spots in the Western Conference standings. In other words, if the season ended today... Houston (now the 4th seed) would host Portland (5th seed) in the first round.
Nicolas Batum--- who was originally drafted by the Rockets this past June--- helped the Blazers dig out of a 17 point defict by scoring 11 of his 14 points in the 3rd quarter. But the Rockets had just enough left in their tank to hold off Portland. Brandon Roy had 24 to lead all scorers. Ron Artest countered with 21 to lead Houston.
Portland moves onto San Antonio where they've lost their last 10 games. That game can be seen right here on KGW starting at 5:00 with the Blazers pre-game show.
