Dod of the Day from the Oregon Humane Society is Alex (90641).   Alex is an energetic seven year old Australian Shepherd/mix looking for a home that matches his activity level.  He will need to go to a home with herding dog experience as he may portray many of his breed characteristics; such as, nipping heels, herding small animals and children, and being extremely high energy. Going on daily walks, and getting much needed exercise is a must with Alex!  He needs to go to a home with older children because he may be mouthy during play, and nip at heels when trying to herd you!  Alex comes with a training consultation to help understand his herding traits.  If you have another canine companion Alex will need to meet him/her before going home with you.  Being an Australian Shepherd mix Alex is eager to please and ready to learn! At the Oregon Humane Society he has started clicker training and already knows how to "sit", "down", "leave it", "watch me", "shake".  Alex is a very active guy ready to start life with you!

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter microchip ID, collar and I.D. tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
