A red baseball diamond!
This Sunday, July 22nd at 1:30pm.. PGE and the Portland Beavers are teaming up with the American Heart Association to host a "Go Red for Women Day" at PGE Park.
Go Red for Women is part of the AHA's efforts to educate women about the risk of heart disease and stroke while empowering them to take charge of their heart health.
I'm proud to be one of the Go Red ambassadors.
Here's the Go Red line up: Lina Garcia Seabold, me!, Caprial Pence-- Carprial's Bistro, Congresswoman Darlene Hooley, Susan Sokol Blosser-- Sokol Blosser Winery and Peggy Fowler-- CEO of PGE
Hope you'll join the AHA as it turns PGE Park Red this weekend! The first 500 fans Sunday will get free red baseballs. And every fan at the game gets an 8.5 by 11 inch card-- half in white and half in red--- to wave during the game to rally the Beavers and show their support for Go Red. Also look for a Go Red area with free health information, fun prizes and giveaways. Experts from NW Personal Training and Fitness will even be on hand to answer your questions about healthy eating and exercise.
Cardiovascular diseases-- including heart disease and stroke--- remain the number one health threat facing women. Each year, 500,000 mothers, daughters, sisters and friends die from heart disease.
Be part of the solution. Please join our effort to raiser awareness.
