A KGW investigation revealed some of the nation's largest retailers are still selling recalled toys. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall on the toys in August due to concerns about high levels of lead in the paint.

At Big Lot's in Aloha, KGW found several toys including the Sesame Street Shape Sorter and Dora the Explorer figurines. There were no recall warnings posted and a clerk sold the products.

Several recalled wooden block sets were on sale at Ross Dress For Less at Gateway. The Chinese-made toys were also recalled by the CPSC. A clerk sold the product.

At Kohl's in Beaverton, several recalled items including Dora the Explorer figurines and Go Diego Go Talking Gadget Belts lined the shelves. But, when attempting to purchase the items, a store computer alerted the clerk of the recall. Kohl's did not allow any of the recalled toys to be purchased.

"This is ridiculous, you know, they get the information, they know very well that they should not be selling these," said Jan Margosian, spokesperson for the Oregon Attorney General's Office. The Oregon Department of Justice and the CPSC are now investigating. The retailers could face civil penalties.

Mattel has posted a list of its recalled toys.
