850 Nike Portland employees to volunteer with local non-profits

Nike is teaming up with Hands On Portland to bring volunteer assistance to more than 30 community projects throughout Multnomah and Washington counties.

Nike employee volunteers will be busy doing everything from feeding the homeless and repairing bicycles -- to restoring a baseball field and landscaping a wildlife exhibit at the Oregon Zoo.
Nike employees in Oregon will volunteer more than 42-hundred hours, provide assistance to more than 40-thousand people and 600 animals throughout the Portland Metro area.
The Eighth Annual Community Involvement Day will involve more than 15-hundred Nike employees across the U-S dedicating time to volunteer with nearly 50 non-profit organizations.
Oregon-based Nike employees will volunteer at 31 assigned locations throughout the day today.
