KEIZER, Ore. -- A Lowe’s employee in Keizer was arrested for allegedly stealing a customer’s identity.

KGW report on identity theft

Police believe Isaac Folsom befriended a 70-year-old customer in the Lowe’s store and then opened a joint credit account with his name on the card.

Then, police said Folsom went on a shopping spree with her new credit card.

“The next she knew, about a year later she got a bill from the collections agency for a bill of over $8,000,” said John Mikkola with the Woodburn Police Department.

The woman called police after getting the huge bill. A short time later, police searched Folsom’s apartment where they reported finding names and social security numbers of his co-workers who they believe were his next potential targets.

Folsom was arrested and charged with identity theft, fraud, forgery and theft.

Lowe’s also suspended him from his job, pending results of the investigation.
