PGE seeks more renewable power
12:10 PM PDT on Wednesday, April 23, 2008
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland General Electric is looking for proposals to supply more renewable power for its customers.
PGE issued the request for proposals Wednesday. The company says it wants to find up to 218 average megawatts of mid- to long-term renewable energy that could come online between 2009 and 2014.
The company says it will consider power purchase agreements as well as equity positions in renewable resources or projects.
PGE expects to identify a short list of bidders later this year.
