Portland's Flir Systems wins U.S. Coast Guard contracts

Flir Systems, Inc., the Oregon-based imaging company, announced Tuesday it has been awarded two contracts from the U.S. Coast Guard worth up to $87.3 million.
One contract, valued at $49.9 million over five years, is to provide Shipboard Infrared Visual Sensor Systems to be used on Coast Guard cutters.
The second contract, valued at up to $37.4 million over 10 years, is for an Electro Optical Sensor System that would aid Coast Guard helicopters with search and rescue missions.
