Snowboard apparel company making Portland its home
09:00 PM PST on Wednesday, February 27, 2008
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Snowboard apparel company Holden Outerwear is officially making Portland its home.
The company has had its design, marketing and some of its production business in Portland since it launched in 2001. But the company had a license agreement with Carlsbad, Calif. company Earth Products for sales and distribution.
Earth Products was a division of K2 Inc., which was recently purchased by consumer goods company Jarden Corp.
The parties announced Wednesday that they've decided to end the agreement.
Holden says the staff will grow from three to six in Portland, in addition to co-owners Mike LeBlanc and Scott Zergebel.
