TILLAMOOK, Ore. (AP) -- Hampton Lumber Mills has announced what it called a "mass layoff" at its Tillamook

plant that will cut 85 jobs on June 6.

The company said the layoffs are for an indefinite period but expected to exceed six months. The company did

not say how many employees work at the mill.

The company said it is nonunion and that employees do not have bumping rights based on seniority, or

reassignment or transfer rights.
