Expect rain in the valley and heavy snow up in the mountains today. A winter storm warming has been posted for the Cascades today with more than 2 feet of snow expected to fall up there. The winds will be picking up, so we could see some blizzard-like conditions up there as well today. Visibility on the passes could be low at times due to that blowing snow.
Then, snow levels drop to near the valley floor tomorrow morning.
However, just as the snow level drops back to about 500 feet overnight, the showers decrease. As a result, we may get snow showers in Portland and the valley floor, but, at this time, it does not look like we'll get much in terms of accumulation.
The hills around town could see a trace to 1 inch.
Have a great Sunday!
