Spring begins this morning with the Vernal Equinox at 9:15 PDT.
A cold start with some areas dipping to 32 degrees. Areas of fog will clear for a gorgeous first day of spring. Portland metro highs should top out in the 60s. Sunny weather and 50s at the coast today, 40s at pass level on Mt. Hood, but clouds across eastern Oregon with showers.
A stretch of chilly, wet days hits all of Oregon, arriving Wednesday afternoon and possibly lasting through the weekend and beyond. Snow levels will drop to 1,500 or 2,000' Thursday and stay low into the weekend. Heavy Cascade snow will fall and Portland will see periods of steady rain. Looks like a cold start to spring, once we get past today's sunshine.
