Monday's morning fog in the Pacific Northwest is causing major headaches for airports in Portland and Seattle. At about noon, Portland International Airport showed 32 delayed flights and six cancelations.
At Sea-Tac Airport, a temporary suspension of all "take offs and landings due to fog" that began at 9 a.m. was lifted around 10:30 a.m. But delays are still possible depending on conditions. The port encouraged all passengers to track their flight status during the delays.
KING5 reported that 79 percent of departures at Sea-Tac Airport were delayed between 5-9 a.m. today. The average delay was 26 minutes, according to the Federal Aviation Administration and online tracking data.
