PORTLAND, Ore. -- Blazers star guard Damian Lillard won't play in Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets as he recovers from a right hamstring strain.

Lillard was injured in the third quarter of Wednesday's 93-91 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. He checked out of the game and went back to the locker room.

He returned and played the final 10 minutes of the fourth quarter but admitted after the game that he wasn't able to move well and served more as a decoy.

Lilllard is averaging 25.2 points, 6.4 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game for the Blazers.
