PORTLAND, Ore. -- Friday began with eight teams hoping to keep their dream of a state championship alive but only four teams played their way into the semifinals.

It was a surprising night as two lower-ranked teams won, including an upset of the defending state champions.

Here are highlights from the four games:

No. 7 Central Catholic upsets defending state champion No. 2 Jesuit, 21-9

No. 1 West Linn rolls No. 8 Sprague 56-20

No. 4 Clackamas tops No. 5 Beaverton 29-21

No. 14 Tigard shuts out No. 6 Sheldon

The 6A semifinals take place on Friday, Nov. 25 at Providence Park in Portland. The first game at noon pits No. 14 Tigard vs. No. 7 Central Catholic, a rematch of the 2014 state championship game. No. 4 Clackamas will face No. 1 West Linn at 4 p.m.
