CARLTON, Ore. -- Cooper Cano is making a name for himself in the world of rodeo.
The 14-year-old spent his summer traveling around the US competing in rodeo events. It paid off because for the third time he’s qualified for the Junior National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas in December.
Cano will compete in saddle and bareback bronc riding. He’s one of the best young bronc riders around.
“You don’t feel much, kind of can’t or you’ll get bucked off," Cano said.
You can see him in action on Saturday. He’s putting on the Buckin’ to Las Vegas Invitational. It’s at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds and will feature some of the best young rodeo competitors around.
The event is a fundraiser for Cooper to help with the costs of going to the Junior National Finals Rodeo.
