Ten people displaced by Vancouver apartment fire

The fire started about 2am, at the Carriage House Apartments, on NE 72nd Ave near Vancouver Mall Drive. This is near the Vancouver Mall.

VANCOUVER, Wa. – Vancouver firefighters say 10 people have to find another place to stay after an overnight fire at an apartment complex.

The fire started about 2 a.m. at the Carriage House Apartments on Northeast 72nd Avenue, near Vancouver Mall Drive.

Crews said the fire started in a bottom unit, which sustained the most damage, and they say three other units have smoke damage.

The Red Cross is helping some of the people displaced by the fire, while other people are staying with family.

A fire investigator is working to figure out the cause of the fire.
