SALEM, Ore. -- A Salem man is in stable condition after he was hit by a motorcyle in Salem on Saturday night.

The crash happened at about 9 p.m. in the intersection of Commercial Street and Southeast Kuebler Boulevard. The victim, 36-year-old Michael Spane of Salem was crossing Kuebler on the east side of Commercial and was hit by the motorcylist.

The driver, 32-year-old Jeremy Inman, also of Salem, was traveling eastbound when the person was hit. He initially fled the scene, but was later located by Salem Police. Inman was arrested on a felony charge of failure to perform the duties of a driver involved in an accident.

Inman was taken to the Marion County Corrections facility.

Roads were open again to traffic in the area just after 10:30 p.m.

This investigation is still ongoing.
