WOODBURN, Ore. – Two Woodburn police school resource officers saved a 52-year-old man who was choking and had stopped breathing at a Denny’s restaurant Friday afternoon.

The officers, Jacob Stout and Jorge Gaspar, were called to the restaurant at around 1 p.m. Stout was first on scene and started CPR immediately on the man, whose skin was already blue, according to Woodburn police.

Gaspar arrived shortly after and assisted Stout. Together, they were able to resuscitate the man.

The man was taken to a hospital where he is stable.
