ALOHA, Ore. – A suspicious man approached a 14-year-old girl who was walking to a school bus stop Friday morning in Aloha, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.
The man, described as a thin Hispanic man in his 30s with long brown hair, got out of his car and the girl ran home, according to Detective Robert L. Rookhuyzen. The man followed her and waited outside her home for about 30 minutes before leaving.
The man pulled his car up next to the girl near the intersection of Southwest Crisp Drive and Millerglen Drive just after 8:30 a.m., Rookhuyzen said. He was driving a new, burgundy four-door car that did not have license plates.
The girl is a Mountain View Middle School student.
The sheriff’s office reminded students to watch for suspicious activity while going to and from school, and to report it to non-emergency dispatch line at 503-629-0111, or 911 in the case of an emergency.
