HILLSBORO, Ore. -- An auto dealer was carjacked at gunpoint during a test drive Tuesday afternoon, according to Hillsboro police.

Officers were called just after 4:30 p.m. to the carjacking report at Thomas Auto Sales on TV Highway.

A salesman said a customer had come in to test drive a red 2010 Dodge Charger (similar to the one pictured). But a mile away from the lot, the suspect pulled out a gun and ordered the salesman out of the car.

The salesman was dropped off on Southeast Witch Hazel Road, and the suspect took off. He is still at large.

Police are asking for help finding the suspect and the vehicle, which had a magnetic dealer plate and a yellow warranty sticker on the front passenger side window.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s with a thin build, a white hoodie and a blue backpack. Anyone with information is asked to call Hillsboro police.
