PORTLAND, Ore. – A man driving recklessly crashed and was ejected from his vehicle Saturday afternoon in Southeast Portland, according to police.

The man suffered serious injuries. He was taken to a Portland hospital and is expected to survive. He was not immediately identified.

The crash occurred at around 12:20 p.m. on Southeast Powell Boulevard and 69th Avenue.

Police say the man was driving recklessly eastbound on Powell Boulevard when his Ford Explorer struck a curb, rolled and the man was ejected.

An investigation is ongoing. Southeast Powell Boulevard is temporarily closed from 65th to 70th avenues.
