BEAVERTON, Ore. – A pedestrian who died Wednesday night after he was hit by a car in Beaverton was identified Thursday as Zachary Ronald Marsh.
The 29-year-old from Beaverton ran through traffic to catch a TriMet bus while oncoming cars had a green light on Southwest Hall Boulevard, according to Mike Rowe of Beaverton police. A westbound vehicle struck him at about 4 p.m. near Greenway Boulevard.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The driver was not issued a citation and is not at fault for the crash, Rowe said.
Life Flight was activated and took Marsh to a hospital, where he later died.
Southwest Hall Boulevard was closed for about two hours between Greenway Boulevard and Nimbus Avenue as police conducted an investigation.
