PORTLAND, Ore. -- Police say a body found in June in the marsh at the Beggars Tick Wildlife Refuge was a man reported missing last year.
Portland police identified the body as 43-year-old Kenneth R. Wick of Portland. He was reported missing on Nov. 25, 2016.
Sgt. Pete Simpson said the body appeared to have been in the water for at least two months. A Portland Parks and Recreation employee found the body.
Police said the body had no obvious signs of trauma.
The urban wildlife refuge in outer Southeast Portland has been frequented by homeless campers. Authorities conducted a sweep there last September.
