PORTLAND, Ore. – A man who was found dead in the Columbia River Slough in Portland earlier this month has been identified as 20-year-old Rakesh Nath.

At around 12:30 p.m. on June 17 a boater reported seeing a body in the slough near North Denver Avenue. Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office river patrol units recovered the body.

Police released a photo of a tattoo on the man's arm on June 29. They hoped someone would recognize it and help identify the man.

After the picture of the tattoo was released, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office received numerous tips identifying the man as Nath.
