PORTLAND, Ore. – A new ABC police drama is set to film in Oregon this month and the casting company is looking for extras to appear on the show.

“Staties,” is a police procedural set in "an eccentric town of quirky characters in coastal Oregon,” according to a description from PDXtras, an Oregon-based extras casting company.

The show will be shot in Manzanita during the week of March 12, and filming will take place at other sites around Oregon and Washington from March 12-28.

"Staties" centers on a hard-charging New York police detective who is banished to the boonies after a high-profile mistake. She is paired with a new partner, an Oregon State trooper who talks to trees for clues and is obsessed with flying kites, the casting company says.

The show is looking for “a diverse range of real people” to appear in the background. Extras will be paid $11.25 per hour.

The show is not the only one filming in Oregon this month. Extras are also needed for a spinoff of "Pretty Little Liars," shooting in Portland and Forest Grove.
