CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. --- A man and dog were killed Wednesday night when they were struck by a car near Gladstone.
The man was identified Thursday as 54-year-old Cory L. Philpott.
Philpott was walking a dog shortly before 9 p.m. when they were struck by a southbound Acura MDX on SE McLoughlin Boulevard (Highway 99E) at Hull Street, according to Oregon State Police.
The driver remained at the scene. No arrests have been made.
McLoughlin Boulevard was closed in both directions for about three hours.
