NEWPORT, Ore. – The body of a 37-year-old Washington woman was found on a beach near Newport Saturday morning.
She was identified by the Newport Police Department on Tuesday morning as Seattle resident Anne Stifter. No signs of trauma were identified during an autopsy conducted on Monday by the State Medical Examiner's Office in Portland.
Investigators are awaiting toxicology results before they determine cause of death.
Stifter's body was found near the Agate Beach Wayside at around 7:30 a.m.
