Boyfriend named homicide suspect in death of woman in Camas

The suspect, 38-year-old Guillermo Juarez has fled the area, police say. Detectives are pursuing an arrest warrant. Police say they there is no immediate threat to the public.

CAMAS, Wash. — Camas Police are searching for a suspect connected to the homicide of a woman whose body was found Sunday inside a Camas home.

The suspect, 38-year-old Guillermo Juarez has fled the area, police say. Detectives are pursuing an arrest warrant. Police say they there is no immediate threat to the public.

Officers responded to a call at about 1:35 p.m. Sunday, where they found the body of 35-year-old Luz Guitron inside a home in the 2100 block of NE Everett Street in Camas.

There were signs of a struggle inside the home and police say they believe Guitron was the victim of homicidal violence. The victim and suspect have dated for years and have a child together, police say.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
