OREGON CITY, Ore. — A fire in Oregon City late Friday morning left a family displaced and their dog dead.
The fire was reported just before noon by neighbors who saw smoke and flames coming from the back side of the home at 21520 S Clear View Ct.
Within 15 minutes of firefighters arriving, the fire was under control, according to Clackamas Fire District No. 1. The cause of the fire was not released.
The family is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
Clackamas Fire wants to remind people to ensure they have working smoke detectors and keep all heat sources off when they’re not attended to.
