Eat at Beaches restaurant Tuesday and help the homeless

Tuesday, eat at Beaches Restaurant and Bar, and you can support Share, an organization that helps the homeless and hungry in the Vancouver area.

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Eat at Beaches Restaurant and Bar Tuesday and you can support Share, an organization that helps the homeless and hungry in the Vancouver area.

All you have to do is order your meal, and tell your server you are dining to support Share. When you do that, half of what you spend on your food and drinks will be donated to Share. This also applies to happy hour food and drinks.

For decades, Share has had a goal of caring for the homeless and hungry in the greater Vancouver area. The non-profit operates three shelters and a transitional housing program.

Money earned from your meal on Tuesday will go to help support their mission, at a time when there’s a great need, and many families experiencing homelessness are invisible.

"Some people are living in cars, some of them are living in their friend’s garage, affordable housing,” said Share’s Amy Reynolds. "Vancouver has been the number one rent increases in the nation, so we have a lot of families who are struggling."

Tuesday’s “cash back day” is just a small part of what Beaches does to help many organizations in the community, and you can participate at both the Vancouver location, and the Portland Airport location.
