PORTLAND, Ore. – A woman was stabbed under the Interstate 5 freeway Saturday morning, Portland police said.

Officers responded to Northeast Lloyd Boulevard around 11:20 a.m. and found a woman suffering from a stab wound.

Police expect the woman to survive. Medics took her to a Portland hospital.

Officers detained one person during their investigation, but they later determined he was not a suspect in the stabbing. He was, however, arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Police closed Northeast Lloyd Boulevard between Oregon Street and 1st Avenue.
