BRIDAL VEIL, Ore. – Someone damaged post office boxes and stole mail from the post office in the town of Bridal Veil, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

The break-in occurred between 6:30 a.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.

The Bridal Veil post office is one of the oldest in the state and replacing the damaged boxes will be difficult, said Lt. Chad Gaidos.

The post office is a popular place for brides to mail their wedding invitations.

No suspect information was immediately released. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 503-988-7300.

U.S. postal inspectors are also investigating the case.
