PORTLAND, Ore. -- A 49-year-old man suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive after he was stabbed at a 7-Eleven store in Southeast Portland on Tuesday morning.

The victim told police he was assaulted and stabbed by two white men in their 20s. He said they were both wearing baseball caps and he thought he recognized one of them. Police said one of the suspects may have been injured in the fight.

Officers searched the area but didn't find anyone matching the suspects' description.

Officers responded to the 7-Eleven store at 14750 Southeast Stark Street at 4:48 a.m. and found the victim suffering from serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to a Portland hospital.
