SAUVIE ISLAND, Ore. – An arrest has been made in connection with a shooting on Sauvie Island Tuesday night.

Brett Andre, 28, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of attempted murder, assault, robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful use of a weapon.

The victim's identity has not been released. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The victim ended up on the porch of a pastor's home. Pastor Russell Richardson, of the Sauvie Island Community Church, told KGW a man knocked on his door at around 7 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

"He had some blood on his shirt, and his face was bloody. He had been beat up," Richardson said. "He said he had been beat up and shot. They shot him and tried to kill him. He said they brought him out here to kill him."

Richardson prayed with the victim until help arrived. The victim offered no reason for why he was targeted.

According to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, the man walked to the pastor's porch from a nearby field.
