“Tobias helms was an amazing father and all his goal was to be the best father he could be and send Oetrelle his son to college…” reads a message on the GoFundMe page.

Tyler Longacre was 21 years old. He also lived in Salem, though it appears he and Helms Reese did not know each other.

His mother, Kim, did not want to use her last name. But she did want the world to know about her son. She sent a text message sharing her feelings.

“Tyler Longacre was such a happy contagious person always laughing giggling and making people laugh. When he loved he loved whole hardedly. He was going to be a first time dad in just about 5 weeks to his own son and was deffinatly excited and couldn’t wait. He was an amazing person and brother and uncle and loved his family so much,” she wrote.

“He was taken from us too soon and now his son will never know him. Just things we can tell him. We hope he has his laughter and his personality. We miss him so much and love him beyond anything. RIP my son!”
