GLADSTONE, Ore. – Authorities say they made one of the largest meth busts on record in Clackamas County earlier this month.

The Clackamas County Interagency Task Force and Portland Police Bureau Drugs and Vice Division seized about 63 pounds of meth with an estimated street value of $500,000.

The bust occurred on Oct. 12 at the River Run Apartments on Risley Avenue in Gladstone. Two men, Raul Villanueva-Sosa and Jose Nataren-Duarte, were operating a drug trafficking organization out of three apartments in the complex, according to police.

Villanueva-Sosa and Nataren-Duarte were both arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of distribution of a controlled substance. They’re both being held on $1 million bail at the Clackamas County Jail.

Police also seized $39,000 in cash and two pistols.
