PORTLAND -- Portland Police identified the man accused of stabbing someone Thursday afternoon in Portland's Kerns Neighborhood.

Carlos S. Nampulacruz, 38, was booked into Multnomah County Jail on charges of second-degree assault, and on a failure to appear warrant for charges of fourth-degree domestic violence assault and domestic violence harassment.

Officers responded around 2:24 p.m. on Thursday to the intersection of Northeast Glisan Street and 12th Avenue after they received reports that someone had threatened people with a knife, broke a car window with a rock, and stabbed a juvenile male.

Witnesses helped officers locate Nampulacruz near Northeast 13th Avenue and Lloyd Boulevard. Nampulacruz was taken into custody without incident. Officers later found multiple knives in his possession.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to an area hospital with what was believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.

Nampulacruz is expected to be arraigned on Friday, Feb. 9.
