Duniway Park, the second of two city parks renovated by Under Armour, is now open.

The Baltimore-based sportswear company two years ago said it would pay for improvements to two city parks as part of a big Portland expansion.

Under Armour paid for new synthetic playing fields at both parks. It also paid for a new running track at Duniway, which is just south of downtown and hosts numerous running events.

"(Portland Parks & Recreation) relies on public-private partnership when it comes to strengthening neighborhood livability," said Portland Parks Commissioner Amanda Fritz, in a news release. "This partnership is yet another great example of corporate stewards stepping up to make sure we have a healthy Portland. We are grateful to Under Armour and all of our partners—past, present and future."

Workers are still adding playing stripes to the field.

Under Armour's new Portland office, which sits adjacent to Duniway Park, is expected to open this summer.
