At 4.2 percent, Oregon's unemployment rate for September was higher than it was in August.
But only by a smidge.
Oregon companies continue to post solid hiring numbers, with 3,711 more workers finding jobs during the third quarter's last month (the unemployment rate can vary based on claims filings and other factors). With that in mind, we took a look at several businesses that, through our stories or just as asides, have told us they're hiring.
In some cases, the numbers are dramatic. eBay's Portland office for instance, is bringing on at least another 55 workers.
And just today, the new-ish company Modern Adventure said it would spend at least part of the $1 million it collected from investors to find and hire new upper-level workers.
