Many people are taking advantage of the beautiful spring weather by heading to the recently expanded Portland Japanese Garden.
Over nine acres, eight garden spaces and a Cultural Village, the Japanese Garden is a “must see” when the weather is as beautiful as Wednesday’s sunshine.
Brian McFayden visited the newly unveiled Cultural Crossing, which added 3.4 acres to the garden and talked to Portland Garden Communication Specialist, Erica Heartquist, about the new garden spaces, 3 new buildings and (for the first time) the tea café.
Portland Japanese Garden’s summer hours: Noon to 7 p.m. on Mondays, and Tuesdays through Sundays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The garden is located at 611 SW Kingston Ave.
