Brian joined KGW just before Christmas 2015. He began his television career in Kennewick, Washington as the Morning Reporter for KNDU. He was normally live on the scene five days a week and jumped from breaking news to feature segments on a regular basis. In just a few months, Brian gained experience in many areas of the news industry. He ran a live truck, worked a camera, and one day got the chance to jump on the green screen. He quickly became the main weather fill in for the morning show and often covered evening shifts.
Brian moved to Las Vegas in 2012 and continued gaining experience in the weather and news departments. He covered the Carpenter 1 Wildfire and subsequent flash flooding; he also reported on stories ranging from big court cases to veteran issues. As the Weekend Weather Anchor for KLAS, Brian enjoyed the desert heat and forecasted severe thunderstorms during monsoon season.
Brian graduated with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University. He is working towards a degree in Meteorology at Mississippi State University.
Brian's passion for the outdoors sparked his interest in the weather. Some of his favorite hikes include a trip down into Havasu Canyon, the Gold Strike Hot Springs, and various trails around Red Rock Canyon and Mount Charleston. He can't wait to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
